After getting into knitting, my customers were asking me for yarn bowls. Even I knew I needed some nice yarn bowls.
I thought of the round bowl but really didn't find them too stable. So came up with this new oval design based off from my casseroles.
To keep with the look of knitting, these have knitted patterns just like my coffee mugs. The buttons add another level of beauty.
With a swirl cut out in opposite sides you can use them in many ways. Knitting with yarn outside and inside held together or even knitting two socks together. (TAAT socks)
They are large enough to hold a 100gm skein of yarn (worsted/fingering)
Dimensions: 7.5" x 5.5" x 3.5"

With me getting into quilting and especially hand-quilting, I found myself collecting thimbles. And now the question was where to keep them.
I had my small dishes but I liked this idea of making these pillow forms that not only hold the thimbles, needle threader, a small spool of thread, but also have a pillow shaped pin cushion for the needles.
Dimensions: 6”L x5.5”W x3”H

The new tool I have been extremely excited about is my new-to-me Antique Sock Knitting machine which dates the early 1900s used during World War times.
I am now offering tube knitting services on this circular sock machine to save you time and get those holiday gifts on time.
This listing is just for services to knit a sock tube with the yarn you provide. It is not a completed sock and you will need to knit the heel, toes and cuffs.
The Yarn needs to be labelled as a sock yarn which is approx 400+ yards for 100 gms. Superwash wool and nylon blends are more common. Brands like Regia, Opal and many sock yarns dyed by Indie dyers work well too
I can do 64 or 72 stitch socks and the gauge is between 8-9 stitches per inch depending on the yarn you provide. In general, small medium adult foot sizes 64 stitch tube would work better and for large adult foot sizes 72 stitch.
After your purchase, I will contact you to ship me your yarn. The knitted tubes will be returned within 2 weeks of me receiving your yarn. Each tube will have waste yarn on either end.
My favorite pattern for afterthought heels is Susan Anderson's Smooth operator socks on ravelry.
