Starting with strip piecing colors intuitively, the making of this quilt took several turns, from being a simple strip quilt, to a Chevron design and then eventually the skyscrapers emerged. It was during the quilting process, it felt like each of these skyscrapers had their own journey reaching for the skies, some being precise, some struggling and some trying to be unique. I find this reflective of how individuals strive to reach for the skies.
Finished with no show facing and with a hanging sleeve that can be used to hang it on the wall (You would need a rod or a yardstick would work too).
Materials: Cotton with Cotton/poly batting
Care: Gentle vacuum to remove dust. Can also be washed on gentle cycle, tumble dry low. On receiving the quilt, the wrinkles/folds can be removed by steaming.
Dimensions: 82”x56”
This quilt was accepted at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt show 2025
