I find the movement of flames very hypnotizing in a fire. Dancing, turning colors, making shapes, disappearing and leaving a shadow with smoke. I tried to capture the dynamic nature of flames in this quilt. The changing colors and movement were captured by improv quilting and letting the flames move as the quilt was being created.
Finished with no show facing and with a hanging sleeve that can be used to hang it on the wall (You would need a rod or a yardstick would work too).
Materials: Cotton with Cotton/poly batting
Care: Gentle vacuum to remove dust. Can also be washed on gentle cycle, tumble dry low. On receiving the quilt, the wrinkles/folds can be removed by steaming.
